Before sitting down at your computer, gather: |
- Most recent statement for each account you want to enter, such as checking, savings and money market savings.
- Checkbook and/or savings book.
- Welcome letter that contains your customer ID.
- Personal Identification Number (PIN) you use for your U.S. Bank Check Card or U.S. Bank 24-Hour Business Solutions.

Set Up Your Accounts for U.S. Bank Online (For QuickBooks Versions 2002, 2003 and 2004)
- Choose Set Up Online Financial Services from the Banking menu. Then choose Apply for Online Banking.
- Click the Enable Accounts tab in the Online Banking Setup Interview.
- Choose U.S. Bank as the financial institution, and indicate that you've received your confirmation information.
- Verify and enter, if necessary, the routing number and your Federal Tax Identification Number (if you are a sole proprietor without a Federal TIN, use your Social Security Number). Click Next.
- Use the appropriate steps for the account you are enabling:
- To create a new QuickBooks account, select Create a New QuickBooks Account and click Next. Follow the instructions to enter the account information.
- To enable an existing QuickBooks account for online banking, select Use My Existing QuickBooks Account. Select the account to edit and click Next. Follow the instructions to verify the account information.
- Select Online Account Access, Online Payment or both:
- Select Online Account Access if you applied to download transactions for this account.
- Select Online Payment if you applied to pay bills from this account.
- Verify the information about your account. Click Leave to exit the Online Banking Setup Interview.

Downloading Transactions the First Time
- The first time you use U.S. Bank Online, we recommend you go online to download transactions so you can check your balances, view your QuickStatement, and update your register for each account before doing other online tasks. The QuickStatement is a list of transactions for your U.S. Bank accounts. You will still receive a monthly paper statement by mail from U.S. Bank.
Choose Online Banking Center from the Banking menu.
- Select U.S. Bank from the Financial Institution menu.
- The checkmarks in the Items to Send area identify items for updating. If you don't want to update a particular item, deselect it with a click.
- Click Send.
- Enter your PIN/Password and click OK.
- To change your Password for online banking, click Change PIN/Password. Your U.S. Bank 24-Hour Business Solutions PIN will remain the same.
- You can then view your online account balance and QuickStatements.

View Your Online Account Balances
- You're now ready to view your online account balances, view your QuickStatements and begin using your U.S. Bank Online Banking and Online Payment services.
The Items Received area of the Online Banking Center window will list your online account balances and any messages from U.S. Bank.
- Select an item on the Items Received list and click View.
